2nd day- Monday: You’ll explore the historical and natural beauties by means of 4x4 vehicles.  After leaving the hotel at 9.30 am, we visit the Antique City of Selaukia, Nifriti Bridge, Oymapinar and Küçükkepez dams, TitreyenGöl and the ostrich farm.  We have our lunch in a restaurant where you may find trout and kebab.  We go back to the hotel at 6 pm.

3rd day- Tuesday:  At 9.30 am, you’re going to be taken from the hotel for transfer to the Bügrüm Bridge, the start of the rafting track.  Around 11 am, we arrive at the starting point.  After the rafting equipments are distributed and being settled down in the boats, the professional river guides give a briefing about the track and rafting.  Now it’s time for the fun and excitement which persists about 4 hours.  10 minutes after getting on the boats, we have a brake on the Bügrüm Bridge for photographing and sightseeing.  If you wish, you may jump into the river from the bridge or the rocks.   As we finish the track’s first half (7 km), we stop over for lunch at a restaurant on the river coast and following lunch, we go on with rafting.  As we finish the two tracks (5 km), we carry our boats to the coast and end our rafting tour.  At 6 pm, we go back to the hotel.

4th day- Wednesday: Free day.

5th day- Thursday: Departure for the Köprülü Canyon National Park with the jeeps.  After stopping over at Bügrüm and Oluk Bridges, we proceed for the Devil Rocks on our way.  After leaving the Devil Rocks, which are the similar formation of Cappadocia, we arrive at the Antique City of Selge.  Upon information about the city, we leave for the free tour in the city.  At 6 pm, we return to the hotel.

6th day- Friday:  Now it’s time to ride the horses.  We spend the day wandering around Side on top of our horses.  We recommend you to listen to the instructions carefully if you don’t want to have a backache.

7th day- Saturday: Transfer to the Antalya Airport.

One can get to the Köprülü Canyon, which is a real nature wonder, after proceeding for 43.5 km on the Antalya-Alanya Road.  Most of this narrow, bent but asphalted road to Toroslar goes through the green of the magnificent pine forests.   One starts thinking that the Mother Nature has treated this part of Turkey really generously.  You may fill your lungs with the fine smell of pine.  There are some restaurants and rafting institutions on the river coast right after Beskonak.  These institutions go on until the entrance of Köprülü Canyon.  You may find grilled meat, chicken and trout in the restaurants, which serve for the tourists who are visiting the area or going rafting.  Alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks are also provided.  There is also a trout farm in the neighborhood.  You’re now about to enter a nature wonder, Köprülü Canyon.   A Roman bridge is found at the entrance of the canyon, which is formed by the continuous efforts of the Köprüçay for thousands of years.

Even the trucks can pass from the Oluk Bridge which is now considered the symbol of Köprülü Canyon.  This bridge, which passes the canyon over 27 m and is constructed by overlapping rocks, is based on the 2nd century A.C.  One can swim in the Köprüçay, which is as clean as the other rivers during summer months.  There is another bridge in the neighborhood other than the Oluk Bridge.  The Bügrüm River is also very ideal for having a picnic with its natural beauty and pure water.  You can reach this wonder after passing by the Oluk Bridge and proceeding left for 1 km.

What about a rafting tour on the spring water with a heat of 13 degrees, when it’s 30-40 degrees under the sun and 24-27 degrees in the sea? Boat, oar, life jacket and helmet are provided by our agency.  The only thing you have to do in order to join this enjoyable tour is to bring your bathing suit and a pair of shoes, which can get wet.  The 12-km-long rafting track has difficulty levels between 1-3 and any age group may join.  There are lots of water and hardly any risk of an accident.

8-10 people can easily get into a boat.  There are also some kayaking boats for 2 people.  Both of them are used in this route.  The water of Köprüçay is very pure and drinkable especially during the summer months.  The depth changes between 1-5 m.  We get into the boats at around 11 am.  The rafters who are being informed by the guides ahead of the tour experience the pleasure of rowing and routing the boat during the 7-km-lap.  After having lunch around 1 pm, we get into the boats once more and depart for the 5-km-track, which persists 2.5 hours and ends 3 km ahead of Beskonak.   Small waterfalls, fast flowing regions are found here.  As the guide’s instructions get mixed with the screams, the tour members cheer up even more.  The other laps are full of contests and animations.

All the animations and jokes are full of water.  There is also a mud bath, which seems to be created only for photographing.  The rafting adventure ends at about 4 pm.  The rafters who have concluded the laps successfully may buy their photos that are speedily taken and printed by professional photographers.

Selge is about 13 km. far from the bridge.  The road is pretty narrow and stony.  As the altitude increases, the view gets more scenic.  You’ll be able to watch the entrance of Köprülü Canyon, the valley covered with forests, the twisting Köprüçay and the shiny Mountain Toka, on which always some snow is found, with great admiration.  As you ascend more, the interesting structure of the rocks that are reaching out sharply calls one’s attention.  These rocks that are developed by the corrosion of karstik forms are called the Manly Rocks or the Evil Rocks.  As you proceed, you’ll come across to the Mediterranean Service Forest.

The only Mediterranean Service Forest in Middle East, which could be well protected, is on this road.  The transportation to Selge is still pretty hard.  It used to be a powerful city government in the antique times.  Since the local people are now endeavoring to continue their lives between those remains in deep poverty, one can’t stop thinking about the conditions of the region a thousand years ago, when 20,000 people used to live happily there.  The historians state that the region on which Selge is set up is a rather productive land and the viniculture and stockbreeding have been very well known in the area.  Now, the only means of subsistence for the local people is stockbreeding.  Selge’s first historical reputation is based on the 5th century B.C like the other cities in the region, when Alexander the Great has passed by with his army.

However, the people of Selge had been tolerant to the army, sent messengers to Alexander the Great and showed the right way out.  Selge kept its independence until the 3rd century A.C.  Then it entered the Rome sovereignty.

The Antique City of Seleukia isn’t a very important settlement.  However its location is outstanding.  The remains of this city, which you can reach after passing through dense forests, are spread in a wide area facing the Manavgat plain.  You’ll also have the chance of watching the vast Manavgat plain besides Side, Sorgun and Titreyengöl.  Turkish Baths, agora in which many shops are found and a temple next to the agora are some of the remains you may visit.

The road passing by the Village of Oymapinar reaches to the entrance of the Oymapinar Dam.   It’s quite exciting to stroll on the 180-m-high Oymapinar Dam, which is constructed in a narrow valley.  On one side is the 180-m-high cliff and on the other side is the concrete body, which stands firm against the enormous pressure of the dam lake that has a depth of more than 180 m. and turns this potential energy into electricity.

In the region spread around the sea, there are many institutions constructed between the pine trees and this region is called Titreyengöl.  Titreyengöl isn’t actually a lake as it suggests.  It resembled a lake as one of the branches of the Manavgat River narrowed and the current slowed down considerably before flowing into the sea.  Since the water seems like it’s trembling when the wind blows, the people started to call it “The Trembling Lake” or TitreyenGöl.   It’s surrounded by sparse trees.  You’ll come across to the institutions that teach horseback riding and arrange tours for the riders in the forest.  The neighborhood is prearranged and mini roads are constructed.  The soil road through the forest is appropriate for the transportation by car.  This road that is almost 4 km long reaches first to the Manavgat River and then to the point where the river flows into the sea.  Here, one comes across to the beach huts filling the area between Side-Sorgun.  Some of the huts that are found on the bank of the river are turned into restaurants.  You can even throw a fishing line into the river.

Personal Equipment that you should bring:

For rafting, you’ll only need your bathing suit and a pair of trainers.  The ones who have to use glasses should tie cords to their glasses, so that they don’t lose them.  You may wear whatever you want in the safari (2nd day).  But it is important that you are protecting yourself from the sun.  Don’t forget to bring your sun lotion, hat, towel and camera.
