PROGRAM

DAY 1 ISTANBUL
Our journey begins in Istanbul including the Hagia Sophia Church with its Byzantine mosaics; the Blue Mosque famous for its interior tiles; the Byzantine Hippodrome where horses and chariots raced once upon a time; Topkapi Palace, the residence of the Ottoman Sultans for about 400 years and the incredible Underground Cistern.

DAY 2 ISTANBUL
Following the breakfast we get aboard a morning ferryboat for a cruise up the strait of Bosphorus, passing Ottoman imperial palaces, traditional Yalis and shore villages. Disembark at Sariyer for lunch at a seaside restaurant. Then we drive south, and stop to visit the Castle of Rumeli Hisar. We will finish up the day in the bustling Grand Bazaar and , with nearly 3500 shops of antiques, jewelry, gold, carpets and leatherwear.

DAY 3 ISTANBUL - TROY - ASSOS
After breakfast drive to the most famous legendary city Homer's Troy, and the site of King Priam's Treasures. After lunch we visit the ancient city of Assos, where the first philosophy school of Aristotle was located, high upon a hill in Assos.

DAY 4 ASSOS - PERGAMON - SELCUK
Departure for Pergamum, Visit the Pergamon Acropolis, which was known as Olympos, where ruins of Zeus Altar, See the Red Church, which was once a temple to the Egyptian God Serapis. Visit of the Asclepion, which was known as the first place of medical science. Drive to Selcuk

DAY 5 SELCUK - EPHESUS - PAMUKKALE
Visit Ephesus, Roman center of commerce and culture. Visit the house of the Virgin Mary and the Basilica of St. John. Drive through the town of Kusadasi en route to Pamukkale. Visit to Hieropolis and Necropolis in Pamukkale. Visit and swim in the world famous calcium deposited pools Travertines.

DAY 6 PAMUKKALE - ANTALYA
Drive to Antalya through the mountains of Touros. Arrive and visit Kaleici.

DAY 7 ANTALYA
After breakfast visit ancient cities of Perge, Side and Aspendos.

DAY 8 ANTALYA – KONYA- CAPPADOCIA
Early morning departure to Konya, the famous capital of Selcuk Empire. Visit mausoleum of Mevlana. Drive to Cappadocia, on the way visit Caravanserai of Sultanhani.

DAY 9 CAPPADOCIA
Firstly, we will visit Goreme Open Air Museum , Zelve Open Air Museum and Dark Church. Photo time between interesting fairy chimneys in Pasabag Valley, then Uchisar "castle" for a panoramic view of Cappadocia's bizarre rock formations. After lunch , we'll go to Sinasos. Sinasos has a great traditional and authentic style mansions. Then we'll visit Cavusin Church , shop for souvenirs in Avanos , well known for its pottery.

DAY 10 CAPPADOCIA
We'll visit Ihlara Valley first. Mev have also dressed the tufa and carved dwellings and churches from the rock like those in Zelve & Goreme. Walking the valleys is the best way to explore the region. We'll walk from Ihlara Village to Belisırma Village. Then we'll visit Derinkuyu Underground City. After lunch , We'll go to Ürgüp. Urgup has a great Turkish Bath which should not to be missed. We'll also see the  Sarıhan,  which is 13th century Seljuk caravanserai. In the evening, an optional Turkish night or whirling dervishes show

DAY 11 CAPPADOCIA – KAYSERI - KAHTA
After breakfast we visit Kayseri and then arrive Kahta, nearby Mt.Nemrut

Day 12 KAHTA – Mt. NEMRUT – HARRAN - ŞANLIURFA
Depart for Mt Nemrut for a lovely sunset viewing of the massive Commagene stone heads. Then After breakfast leaving the hotel. First visit Harran to see city of Prophet Abraham in there we discover beehive shaped adobe houses,islamic school and fortress. We will have our lunch in Sanliurfa.

DAY 13 SANLIURFA - DIYARBAKIR
Depart for Diyarbakir. We will visit the old city, city walls , old churches , caravansarai and Ulu Mosque 11/12th century.  See People going about daily life on their rooftops, drying fruits etc. A city full of life.

DAY 14  DIYARBAKIR – AKDAMAR - VAN
The tour begins after breakfast with the drive to Van. The first site en route is the Akdamar church, which is built on an island in the Van Lake. Take a small boat to the Island of Akdamar to visit Old Armenian church with beautiful intricate reliefs and cemetery. Visit Hosap Castle, with impressive entry gate, lion relief, baths, cisterns etc. Originally an Urartian settlement. Old Ottoman bridge on Hosap River.

DAY 15  VAN - DOGUBEYAZIT
Depart for Dogubeyazit. View of Mt. Ararat (Agri Dagi) legendary resting place of Noah's Arc. Visit Ishak Pasa Sarayi - the ruins of a palace complex from Ottoman times.

DAY 16  DOGUBEYAZIT – KARS - ERZURUM
Early morning departure to Kars. Ottoman citadel, old town. Visit Ani - old Armenian city and churches. Lunch will be served en route. Dinner and overnight will be in Erzurum.

DAY 17 ERZURUM - TRABZON
The tour of Erzurum will commence after breakfast. This will be followed by a visit to the Seljuk monuments. Lunch will be served en route after which the drive will continue on to Sumela Monastery. Dinner and overnight in Trabzon.

DAY 18  ISTANBUL
Breakfast at the hotel and departure from the hotel for airport and Istanbul.
